Early Morning Departure: A Journey of Adventure
Your day begins with an early hotel pick-up. We drive to the Banjul Ferry Terminal, where your adventure truly begins.
You will cross the River Gambia by ferry to the North Bank of The Gambia. The ferry crossing itself is a unique local experience, offering scenic river views and a glimpse into everyday Gambian life.
Upon arrival on the North Bank, our 4×4 Jeep will be waiting to continue the journey to the Senegalese border. After passport control and border formalities, we proceed directly to Fathala Wildlife Reserve.
Guided Safari in Fathala Wildlife Reserve
Once inside the park, your guided safari adventure begins.
During the game drive, you may encounter giraffes, buffalo, zebras, various antelope species, warthogs, monkeys and many other native African animals.
The reserve provides a safe and natural environment where animals roam freely across the landscape. Your professional guide will share insights about the wildlife, ecosystem and conservation efforts within the park.
Optional Lion Walk

For an even more unforgettable experience, guests may request the famous Lion Walk as an optional upgrade.
Under strict supervision of professional rangers, you will have the rare opportunity to walk alongside young lions in a controlled natural environment. This unique experience allows you to observe these magnificent animals up close while learning about their behavior and conservation.

Relax & Return Journey
After the safari, we begin our return journey the same way: drive back to the border, cross into The Gambia, take the ferry back to Banjul, and enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel.
You will be dropped off safely at your accommodation after a full day of adventure.
